“ This place look like uncompleted cathedral” I muttered.
I enthusiastically moved in, one lanky man with baldhead like coconut, hurried to me wolfishly and authoritatively ordered me go back and drop my bag. I was astounded and dazed.
I quizzically turned my face trying to pretend. Dammm! I was flabbergasted.
“What level are you” he erupted.
I ambivalently replied with a sly smile plastered all over my face.
Suddenly, my rapture-blue eyes roved at his shabby t-shirt “He is frustrated” I thought.
I moved to drop my bag, but unfortunately no space. I refused to talk in order not to “stir up a hornets’ nest”
I broodingly hurried in. I was left with sullen feelings and I felt somehow dejected. I hurried to pick “Contemporary Criminology text book”
I was reading the text book and was trying to make up my GST 103 note.
The face me I face you kind of Chair was cool. Suddenly, an angelic voice echoed “What department?” “Criminology” I replied. “ “what of you?”
“Mass Communications” she said. Her cute smiles made me to remember my immediate younger sister, charming look and exquisite outfit. “Lemme epp u make up the note so u can concentrate on reading, GST is a general course, I will use my note to make up yours” she said erotically.
“Awww.... What an angel” I shucked. I gladly gave her the notes.
What’s ur name? I gaily asked.
“My name is Success, and urs?”
My name is John aka J C.
“Oh that’s good”
The burden of making note and reading the bulky text book was lessened.
I was happy to have met another elegant damsel. My plan was to get a friend before my second year. I never knew or thought that birds were making nests on my head. Life in the University is quite different from what I thought it was.
After the studies I went home as I began to think about Success and Chinelo. My problem with Chinelo was her brown teeth and my problem with success was her height, I don’t like short girls.
I had second thought never to date Success or Chinelo or anyone in school, but to return home to date Nneamaka my secondary school mate. She’s very beautiful, tall without brown teeth.
During Christmas break I decided to return to Lagos to try my luck.
It was a cool evening; the sun was going back to its base. The tare road was as
Smooth as fresh egg. The harmattan wind was raising dust everywhere. The sand was pale yellow, leaves were rustling, dancing to the tune of the wind. The sky was
Gorgeously light blue with big, fluffy white clouds.
A warm breeze swirls around her, sending her hair in all different directions. “Good evening, John” she greeted romantically with an angelic voice.
er cheeks just like Chinelo. I was startled and amazed. “You are an angle” I said trying to please the Juvenile. Her natural red lips began move in the shape of words, but without making sound.
I decided to try my luck..
To be continued..
